About Dr Bonaros

We set out to do one thing properly: hair restoration, performed by the surgeon you meet at your consultation. That means honest assessments, and plans built around your own hair rather than a package. We will also tell you when surgery is not the right answer. The aim is a result nobody notices, and a patient who knew what to expect at every stage.
Dr Epameinondas Bonaros is a hair transplant surgeon based in Glasgow, and hair restoration is the only work he does. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery, an internationally recognised certification for surgeons in this field. It is awarded after written and oral examinations in surgical safety and aesthetic judgement. He is registered with the General Medical Council under number 7566786 and is an Affiliate Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
He is a full member of the British Association of Hair Restoration Surgery, where he serves as Treasurer. He is also the only hair transplant surgeon in Scotland recognised as a Full Member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery.
Dr Bonaros graduated from medical school in 2005 and trained first in general internal medicine. He then spent several years training in hair restoration alongside established surgeons in Greece. He was later invited to operate in a number of European countries. He moved his practice to Scotland in 2016 and later took up a medical director post. He now works exclusively in hair restoration.
Our philosophy

The surgical team
Aikaterini works alongside Dr Bonaros through every stage of the procedure. She is responsible for how grafts are handled and kept viable between extraction and placement, and is a full surgical assistant member of the BAHRS.
